Immigration Evaluations

About
Immigration evaluations help document the emotional and psychological impact of trauma, abuse, separation, or hardship—and can be critical in cases involving:
Asylum
VAWA (Violence Against Women Act)
U-Visa
T-Visa
Extreme Hardship Waivers
Courts and immigration officials rely on these evaluations to understand how a person’s mental health has been affected by their experiences and how legal relief may support their recovery and stability.
Immigration evaluations are available to residents across New Jersey. Virtual and in-person appointments offered based on client needs.
“Our immigration evaluation process is trauma-informed, confidential, and designed to honor your story with care and clinical integrity.”
What To Expect
You’ll participate in two one-on-one clinical interviews to explore your history, emotional challenges, and immigration-related experiences.
You’ll complete standardized mental health questionnaires to assess mental-health.
We’ll score and interpret these tools and integrate them into a comprehensive 10 to15 page narrative report that reflects your psychological profile and legal relevance.
Timeline & Structure
The evaluation is typically completed in two sessions, each lasting up to 2 hours.
Total interview time: 2-4 hours.
Sessions may be conducted in-person or virtually, depending on your needs.
Final Report & Delivery
Your final report will include:
Clinical summary
Diagnostic impressions
Trauma impact analysis
Recommendations for care
Reports are completed within 2 to 3 weeks following your interview.
We will also provide communication with your attorney if needed, to ensure your evaluation supports your legal case effectively.
